A layflat hose is a hose that is used to transport both of water and air. A layflat hose is characterised by a thin wall (usually made of plastic, possibly rubber or a mixture of both materials). Layflat hose is made from soft PVC reinforced with interwoven polyester yarn. As a result, a layflat hose remains flattened when not pumping the medium. In our case, layflat hose is used as a protective cover on mooring ropes around the spliced eyes to protect the rope.
